2015, January's Full Calendar

We got to enjoy this beautiful Amaryllis as it grew and bloomed.

Our January calendar was full of fun adventures.  A trip to Atlanta to order Christmas Decor for next year and a cruise to the Caribbean with Gary's family.

Katie was recovering at the U. of U. hospital in Salt Lake City.  She had survived several surgeries, brain storming & much more. She was doing okay after her 2nd near death experience due to the surgery to replace her bone flap, while she was still on blood thinners.   She progressed more quickly and we knew she was going to be okay.  We still had a hard time leaving on our trips because we were visiting her a few times a week and had Gary & Cheryl staying at our house.  Part of us wanted to stay home so we could help with anything they needed.
At the trade show we kept looking for hot spots where our phones and internet would work so we could check on her progress.

Instead of ginger bread houses this year, we made gingerbread sleighs after the holidays.

We had never
been in Atlanta so it was
difficult to find all the
shops within the Trade
Centers but it was an
adventure.
After we placed our
orders we took a tour of
Atlanta  and enjoyed
seeing both the rich
neighborhoods, as well as the poorer homes.
We were able to stay in a very nice hotel, thanks to the salesman from Regency.  So we probably overpurchased from him to thank him for that.

We ordered new Jim Shore Santa's and took pictures of decorating ideas.

They had some great Fairy Garden displays.

We were checking our phones and internet constantly during our time in Atlanta to see how our loved ones in Utah were doing.
Gary's dad was in the VA hospital before we left home.  He was doing okay when we left and they assured us that he would be able to go not the cruise later this month.
